Spaceships (also known as starships, spacecraft, or ships), are player-controlled units that can be built from the Shipyard using credits. There are four classes of ship in Hades' Star: Transports, Miners, Battleships are accessible to all players; Flagships are a special warship class available only in White Stars.

Battleships and Flagships are the only ships that have hull strength. Transports and Miners are destroyed instantly upon taking damage from any hostile source.

Ship loadouts can be saved to allow easy access to mod setups when creating ships or editing them.

Up to 16 Spaceships can be built by the player with a maximum level Shipyard. Spaceship designs may also be upgraded using Credits at the Shipyard, granting increased hull strength and/or additional module slots. Once completed, upgrades take effect immediately for all Spaceships owned by the player in the Yellow Star. There is no possibility of downgrading after the upgrade is complete, however, so make sure you made the right choice.

Purchasing the 'Starter Package 1' reduces the cost of building spaceships by 80%. It also reduces the upgrade cost of ships by 10%.

Transport []

Transport ships (also referred to as TS) are crucial for trade and moving goods of various types in the Hades galaxy. Use them to deliver shipments between planets and moons, to transfer Artifacts from Red Stars, or to retrieve relics during White Star missions. This simple ship class is the backbone of the economic aspect of your Star System. In most game modes, the player's objective is to protect transport ships from attack by Cerberus or enemy player forces.

The modules mounted on these ships are Transport Modules.

Miner []

Miner ships (also referred to as MS) can collect Hydrogen from asteroid fields.

Miners are quick ships built with one purpose in mind - to extract Hydrogen from the asteroid fields found throughout the galaxy. Similarly to transports, miners are generally defenseless and must be defended by battleships. These humble ships are vital to an efficient Hades' Star Fleet. Without Miners, Hydrogen will be in short supply.

Miners at Level 2 or higher can be programmed to mine specific sectors in the Yellow Star. The amount of programmable sectors increases with each Miner upgrade.

Miners use a class-exclusive module type, Miner Modules, to enhance their collection capabilities.

Battleship[]

Warships that can be equipped with weapon, shield, combat and drone modules.

Battleships (also referred to as BS or BB) are strong, combat-orientated ships possessing a unique Shield Module and a Weapon Module. As the only ship type with dedicated armament in the game, they provide an offensive punch and a create a defensive safety net.

A Battleship without a shield will still hold up reasonably well when taking fire, but it is usually negligent to engage the enemy without a shield active. In some cases, players may choose to intentionally take hull damage to enable module effects or for strategic reasons.

A battleship may not equip more than one Shield and one Weapon module, so choose wisely, and pick a set that suits your strategy. A legacy build page is available here (outdated).

Battleships should be used to clear sectors, making a path Transports and Miners can follow through safely. Combat Modules and Drone Modules are also available to battleships, helping further increase combat efficiency.

All Battleship levels repair from 0%-100% hull strength over 10 minutes at a station or colonized planet.

Corporation Flagship[]

Flagship

The Corporation Flagship is an extremely powerful warship exclusively used in White Stars and is upgraded using credits donated by all corporation members. The upgrade will be applied after the required Credit amount is reached on the next Flagship deployment. Excess contributions will be saved towards the next upgrade.

Two flagships are available to every Corporation. Flagships can only be controlled by those holding the Officer rank or above within the Corporation, and only one Flagship can participate in each White Star, regardless of how many White Stars are in progress.

The Flagship uses special modules unobtainable by any other ship: Immolation, Recoil, Stealth, Recoil Drones, EMP Rocket, Cataclysm, Floating Shield, and Dart Turret. Its sole weapon module is a Battery. The Flagship lacks a dedicated Shield module.

The Flagship has the highest health of any player controlled ship, upto a maximum of 32,500.

Note: The Dart Turret of the Corporation Flagship isn't a Weapon module, but rather, an unobtainable Combat module.

A single-target weapon that does constant damage to its target.

It has a 120 AU range and a 20m switch delay.

Applies a fixed amount of damage to all Cerberus ships in the sector.

Recoil[]

Recoil

The Flagship enters a Teleport countdown, heading anywhere in the star system. After the countdown ends, the Flagship will jump to the destination and will immediately enter a second Teleport countdown, heading back to its original position.

Stealth[]

While the effect is active, the Transport ship cannot be directly targeted by enemy weapons. It will still take Area Damage if within blast range.

Recoil Drones[]

A group of fighter Drones that start Teleporting to the target location in range. After teleportation, the Drones will initiate a new Teleport back to the original launching location, where they'll stay until destroyed or when the Activation timer runs out.

The Teleport and Recoil function are identical to the standard modules.

Cataclysm[]

Cataclysm

Fires multiple (3) Rockets on each valid target. Valid targets include all move destinations in the target Sector. Enemy ships or drones caught in the blast will take Area Damage.

Floating shield[]

A stand-alone Ally Shield with a fixed position that can be deployed from the Corporation Flagship. Absorbs hull damage taken by any friendly Ship, Drone or Rocket in the effect area.

Dart Turret[]

DartTurret

A stand-alone weapon with a fixed position that can be deployed from the Corporation Flagship. It will regularly launch a Dart rocket against each enemy ship in range. The Dart rocket will only do damage against its single target, and only if the target is within blast range when it reaches its destination.
